Since she can remember, Rachel has collected fabric and haberdashery and is fascinated by textiles from
different eras and generations that contain past histories and memories. From
her home studio she enjoys the process of creating a range of contemporary
textile products that draws upon these themes.
Rachel’s work
is always lively and bold and shows off her passions for colour and pattern. It
is individually designed and hand crafted and has a particular attention to
detail, often incorporating traditional sewing techniques including hand
stitching, embroidery, appliqué and quilting. Much of her work is unique as pieces are often replicated but no two are quite the same, meaning each piece makes for a truly individual item.
